As part of its ongoing commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all beneficiaries, staff of the Mankind Activities Development Accreditation Movement (MADAM) recently participated in a comprehensive safeguarding training held in Makeni.
The training brought together team members from various departments, including education, livelihoods, and youth empowerment, to deepen their understanding of child protection, gender-based violence prevention, and reporting protocols. Facilitated by experienced trainers, the sessions focused on building practical skills for identifying risks, responding to incidents, and promoting a culture of safety and accountability across all MADAM programs.
"As an organization working closely with vulnerable groups, we recognize our duty of care," said Edward Conteh. "This training has strengthened our ability to protect the people we serve and ensure our activities do no harm."
MADAM continues to prioritize staff capacity-building in line with its Safeguarding and Protection Policy, reaffirming its role as a trusted and responsible development actor in Sierra Leone.
