This intervention demonstrates MADAM’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, community forestry, and climate resilience.

Yesterday, 12th October 2026, MADAM Sierra Leone, in collaboration with the chiefdom authorities, held an orientation session for the first batch of trainees at the Safroko Limba Growth Centre in Binkolo. The session introduced the trainees to the available training programs, and the opportunities the programs offer to equip them with practical skills, enhance their livelihoods, and promote economic empowerment.
The orientation also provided an opportunity to engage with the trainees, discuss their expectations, and emphasise the importance of commitment, discipline, active participation, and practical skills acquisition throughout the training period.
The revival of the Safroko Limba Growth Centre reflects MADAM Sierra Leone’s continued commitment to expanding access to vocational and technical skills training, promoting youth empowerment, and creating pathways to employment and self-reliance. By revitalising the centre, the organisation aims to strengthen opportunities for young people to develop practical skills that can help them build sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

This intervention demonstrates MADAM’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, community forestry, and climate resilience.

MADAM - Sierra Leone received an award recognising our unwavering commitment, exceptional service, and inspiring leadership in Sierra Leone’s agriculture sector.

Haja Conteh described teachers as the first line of protection for children within the school environment. Given the amount of time they spend with learners, teachers are often well positioned to notice changes in a child’s behaviour, attendance, academic performance, or mood that may indicate a safeguarding concern.
